refresher
This weekend I attended a marvellous beginners course in lino print at Tasburgh Village Hall, in the wilds of Norfolk, run by the marvellous Sally Hirst. It was marvellous.
Learned some new techniques: collaging fine paper into prints as a way of short-cutting colour application, and I learned that Caligo ink is rather good (sub. 'marvellous' Ed.) And available locally from Norwich Art Supplies!
I also created this marvellous 3 part reduction print of Norwich Cathedral, for the marvellous Norfolk Longbook project. Not bad for a days work, eh?
N.B. Norwich trivia: Sally's daughter is the talented and prolific musician Milly Hirst. Check out her music on Bare Feet Records, its marvellous.
